Thanks for stopping by at my page! Hope you like my art :)

I mostly make traditional work with pencils, soft pastels or acrylics. I do have a tablet for digital drawing, but I'm not using it as much as I'd like to. I love colours and nature, so you'll see both of these things a lot in my art works. Also, I like drawing humans and portraits :)

It does not have to be perfect. I think this is the best lesson that I have learned and experienced so far during my art classes. Amazing things can happen when you do not cling to the idea that the end result should be beautiful or perfect or exactly like you intended from the start. Maybe during the process you do something which creates an interesting composition or image even though it was not what you intended to do. Why not go with that?   My teacher told us that it is better not to focus on making a pretty picture. Make something ugly. Really, give it a try ;) I felt how liberating this can be during the monoprint and dry point printin

Hi everyone! Six weeks ago I started a preparatory course at the HKU, an art school in the Netherlands. It's a one year course on Saturdays with which you can qualify for the Bachelor studies at the HKU. But I'm doing it for fun, to further develop my skills :) I finished my Master in communication a month ago and probably won't be doing another full time study, not even a study in art :P Time to get a job!
